I am a health psychologist registered with the Health Care Professions Council and chartered with the British Psychological Society. As a health psychologist I understand behaviour change and how to cope with chronic illnesses. My PhD was in understanding psychological factors that influence the reasons why young women decide to start breastfeeding and then continue with it. I am also a trained secondary school teacher and have children of my own, so understand issues to do with parenting and adolescent behaviour. I live in South West England, near Bath. I have many years experience in research and various experiences working with patients either one-to-one or in a group. I often see clients who have been involved in a traumatic incident for pain management, depression, anxiety and PTSD.
