LiveGuru will provide Gurus and users with a venue where they can exchange advice and information.
LiveGuru has no liability to Gurus or Users for any loss, damage, costs, expenses or other claims for compensation caused by advice given by Gurus or materials provided by Gurus to LiveGuru. It is strongly recommended that the Guru take out suitable professional indemnity insurance in relation to their Guru services.
Inclusion on a sponsored chat is at LiveGuru’s discretion and LiveGuru makes no guarantee regarding the number of paid hours a Guru can expect to receive.
LiveGuru makes no guarantees regarding the number of people who will view the Guru’s profile or minimum levels of activity or other benefits which may result.
As long as Gurus have fulfilled all of the chat rules for third party campaigns, LiveGuru will pay them the full agreed amount 30 days after the end of the campaign.
LiveGuru reserves the right to terminate a Guru’s or User’s account without notice and at LiveGuru’s sole discretion.
In the event that Live Guru attracts advertising or sponsorship revenue directly linked to a Guru’s activity, that Guru will receive a share of the revenue generated.
By accepting these site rules, the Guru warrants that all information submitted to the site regarding experience, qualifications and fitness to give advice in their chosen area are valid and up to date. LiveGuru reserves the right to immediately remove from the site any Guru found to be giving false information.
Only one profile is allowed per Guru. In order for the profile to be valid the Guru must provide a photo and complete all required fields.
The Guru acknowledges and agrees that he is solely responsible for any advice given and any information supplied to a User or any third party whether under the terms of this agreement or otherwise and that LiveGuru shall not be liable for the acts of the Guru under any circumstances.
All content generated by the Guru or placed on their profile page may be used by Live Guru for promotional purposes. Articles and other media content owned by the Guru remains the property of the Guru. The Guru warrants that all content placed on their profile page is free of third party copyright.
Publication on live.guru of content generated by the Guru does not imply endorsement of the views or information contained therein.
The Guru will respond to users via live.guru and on third party sites in accordance with the chat rules. If any of these are breached, live.guru reserves the right to remove the Guru from the site without notice. The Guru must report any User breaching these rules to LiveGuru immediately.
LiveGuru accepts users over the age of 18 only. If a Guru suspects that a user is under 18, they must report the User the user’s account may be terminated without notice.
LiveGuru is purely providing a venue for the Guru to interact with users. The Guru is not an agent or employee of LiveGuru and should never state nor give the impression that this is the case.
If a Guru wishes to close his/her account with LiveGuru he/she may only do so once all obligations to users (chat appointments) and to LiveGuru (participation in sponsored chats) have been discharged.
All chats must be carried out by the Guru themselves, at no time is it acceptable for the Guru to allow a third party to offer services in their name.
LiveGuru will retain a portion of any transactions carried out through the LiveGuru payment facility as per the published rate card.
LiveGuru accepts users over the age of 18 only. If a Guru suspects that a user is under 18, the user will be reported and the user account may be terminated without notice.
The User will only interact with the Guru in accordance with the chat rules. If any of these are breached, live.guru reserves the right to remove the Guru from the site without notice. The User must report any Guru breaching these rules to LiveGuru immediately.
Once the initial chat has been completed, any further consultation and advice is on terms set by the individual Guru consulted. LiveGuru does not guarantee that the User will continue to receive advice after the initial consultation.

Gurus must make sure they have a stable broadband connection and use the latest stable version of Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox or Safari.
The Guru must be online and available when they have scheduled a chat with a user. If there is a problem they must notify the user in advance.
Gurus must respond to offline requests from users within 24 hours.
Gurus must give minimum 72 hours notice if they cannot take part in a scheduled third-party chat.
Gurus must be online 5 minutes before the start of a scheduled third-party chat to allow smooth transition and resolve any technical issues.
Whether chatting to users or on third-party sponsored chats, Gurus must ensure that they have answered all outstanding questions and closed all chats before making themselves unavailable for chats.
The Guru must give third-party sponsored chats their full and undivided attention for the time they are scheduled to be online. Should they need a bathroom break, they must answer all outstanding questions and log off before leaving the computer.
LiveGuru chat should be considered an extension of the Guru’s professional office and all chats should be conducted accordingly, using professional and appropriate language at all times.
Any information given must be within the Guru’s experience, knowledge and qualifications. The Guru must not give any information of a medical nature if unqualified to do so.
Gurus must take all reasonable steps to safeguard Users and the public while delivering the Guru Services.
If the Guru has any concerns about the user’s safety or in the event that a User may be at risk of causing harm to himself or others, the Guru should follow any applicable professional guidelines, contact relevant authorities and/or LiveGuru and take all reasonable steps to prevent and minimise harm. When online the Guru should respond to a new chat within 30 seconds and manage open chats appropriately so that they do not leave Users waiting too long for a response.
Gurus should read and carefully consider a User’s response, then address users’ questions as fully as possible, given time restraints, and provide helpful, practical, ‘solutions-orientated’ responses.
The Guru must not use inappropriate, offensive, discriminatory or derogatory language when chatting, nor should they link to any websites containing such material. LiveGuru will determine whether or not chat content and material can be defined in this way.
The initial consultation through LiveGuru is always free of charge. The Guru is free to promote themselves and their business through LiveGuru chat and may set whatever rates they wish for subsequent contact with Users either through LiveGuru or off the site.
The Guru may choose when to end a chat with a User, however they must ensure that all questions have been answered in full.
If a User cannot keep a scheduled chat appointment, they must inform the Guru in advance. If they do not give advance notice, the Guru is under no obligation to offer an alternative time.
The Gurus are professionals who should be treated at all times with courtesy and respect.
The User must not use inappropriate, offensive, discriminatory or derogatory language when chatting, nor should they link to any websites containing such material. LiveGuru will determine whether or not chat content and material can be defined in this way.
The Guru will end the chat with the User at their own discretion.
